The jist of why this is useful:

when a computer has limitations (this is presuming its windoes 9x/NT) and they disable things
such as the RUN command and runing windows explorer from the start->programs menu...
well there are several ways too get a DOS prompt wich lets you do anything you want..so...ill
only list 2 or 3 here but there are many other ways based on these e.g's...
-----------

----------
How to #1:

* i wont explain what im doing here because u should know and if you dont then you shouldn't be
reading this..

WIN 95/98:
* open up your local web brower, can be either netscape or internet explorer or just a damn web
browser will do....okies...easy way too run a command from on WIN 95/98 is too type this in the
URL box:
c:\windows\command.com (sometimes can be c:\dos\command.com just depends)
and thats it....change tht as according too were the windows dir is but it is normaly in
c:\window...

WIN NT:
* SAME as above ONLY the command.com is kept in different dir:
c:\winnt\system32\command.com
i think so at least...well it should be...have fun..

* you should now have a dos prompt...YAYAYAYAY..
---------

---------
How to #2:

* same as above....wont explain just tell u what too do cause its not wrth explaining such and
easy task...

* open up wordpad,word7,even notepad...vertaully any program that lets u open a file with a
dialog box..i.e. a box pops up and u goto the dir and select the file u want...

* goto the dir c:\windows (or c:\dos)....

* goto were u specify the files u want too look for.....and type *.com ....that will display
all files that have an extension of .com....

* now ***RIGHT*** CLICK on command.com.....and choose OPEN....it should be the 2nd or 3rd option
 in the list that pops up when u select it...DO NOT CHOOSE THE 1st OPTION CAUSE THAT WIll JUST
OPEN COMMAND.cOM...U DONT WANT THAT...THATS JUST USELESS...

* u should now have a command prompt...YAYAYAYAY.....do what u want...nicely..=)
--------

simple tatics but they wrk most the time....l8tr...
