            MILNET/NSFNET (FIX-EAST) CONNECTIVITY RELOCATION

  1. THE EAST COAST CONNECTION FOR MILNET TO NSFNET (FIX-EAST) HAS BEEN
MOVED TO A CISCO AGS+ LOCATED AT ADDRESS 26.29.0.54. AS OF 12/FEB/92,
ADDRESS 26.20.0.17 NO LONGER PROVIDES FIX-EAST CONNECTIVITY.

  2. ALL GATEWAYS USING 26.20.0.17 FOR THIS SERVICE SHOULD REPLACE THEIR
DEFAULT ROUTE WITH 26.29.0.54. ALL GATEWAYS USING 26.20.0.16 (FIX-WEST)
AS THEIR DEFAULT ROUTE SHOULD CONTINUE TO USE THAT ADDRESS. ANY
GATEWAYS RECEIVING FULL UPDATES SHOULD CONTINUE USING THE EGP ROUTING
     AS SUPPPLIED BY THE MAILBRIDGES.

  3. FAILURE TO MAKE THESE CHANGES WILL DEGRADE THE EGP SERVICE TO THE
NETWORK BY REQUIRING THE MAILBRIDGES TO PERFORM EXCESSIVE REDIRECTS.
IN ADDITION, 26.20.0.17 WILL BE PHYSICALLY RELOCATED ON 22 FEB 1992.
THEREFORE, ANY GATEWAYS USING THIS ADDRESS AFTER THAT TIME WILL NO
     LONGER RECEIVE SERVICE.

  4. ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS ISSUE SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO MAJ TED A. TATCHIO,
     MILNETMGR, DISA/DODM, DSN 222-7580, COML 703-692-7580, EMAIL:
