Domain based licenses issues

COMMAND

    domain based licenses

SYSTEMS AFFECTED

    SunOS

PROBLEM

Giuseppe Maggiore found following. He found that SUN is quite
relaxed in dealing with the domain based licenses. Anyway, here
below is how to use a domain based license on a completely
different domain/site (It has been tested for WORKSHOP but it
should works for other packages as).

If you want to use WORKSHOP licensed for a SITEA on a different
SITEB you just need to modify the /etc/resolv.conf in order to
have as final result the following contents:

        domain SITEB
        nameserver xxx
        ....
        nameserver zzz
        search SITEA .....

That's all. The directives domain and search are mutual exclusive
and the last one override the other. On the other hand, only for
the domain directive but not for the searchone is checked in the
    /etc/resolv.conf file.

SOLUTION

    Nothing yet.
