Star Trek Enterprise: Bio for Silik

Silik was a recurring character in the science fiction television series
Star Trek: Enterprise. Silik, portrayed by John Fleck, was a
high-ranking official in the Suliban Cabal during the Temporal Cold War
- a secretive war fought between various alien factions using "temporal
agents" to change historical events for self-seeking purposes.

During the Temporal Cold War, Silik received his orders from an
enigmatic humanoid from the future. To aid in his fight, Silik and his
cohorts from the Suliban Cabal were granted valuable genetic
enhancements including more heightened senses and the ability to
shape-shift -- features that would become prodigiously exploited by
Silik (and which could be taken away as punishment for failure).

Silik's encounters with the Enterprise

Silik first met Captain Archer and his Enterprise in 2151 when Silik was
given orders to apprehend a Klingon courier named Klaang, who was known
to have information that could help avert a civil war in the Klingon
Empire. The objectives of this mission were not successfully reached,
and Silik was punished by having his heightened sense of vision removed.

For his next mission, Silik, disguised as part of a group of pilgrims on
a journey to the "Great Plume of Agosoria", boarded Enterprise with the
intent to acquire a high-tech device from the future located in Crewman
Daniels' secured room. During the course of the mission, Silik prevented
the imminent destruction of the Enterprise by a bolt of plasma
lightning. Nonetheless, he once again failed to complete his mission
when the device he was supposed to bring back was destroyed by Captain
Archer. Fortunately for himself, Silik was able to escape to a waiting
Suliban cell ship.

In 2152, Silik once again encountered the Enterprise when he is ordered
to bring back Captain Archer after the Captain had boarded a cloaked
Suliban Ship and brought back several valuable data disks. During this
encounter, Enterprise is engulfed by a swarm of Suliban ships and is
ordered to surrender. At the verge of complying with the surrender
order, Archer is whisked away by the temporal agent named Daniels to the
31st century. Meanwhile, Enterprise is boarded and occupied by Silik and
his powers. The crew of the Enterprise eventually manages to liberate
itself by taking Silik hostage.

Silik and the Xindi threat

The most daunting encounter between Silik and Captain Archer occurs when
Silik and his mysterious employer from the future inform the Captain
that the alien attack on Earth that killed 7 million humans was mounted
by the Xindi with much help from another mysterious faction in the
Temporal Cold War. Furthermore, Archer learns that a much bigger attack
on Earth is planned by the Xindi in the near future. This substantive
information leads Enterprise and her crew to a mission to find the
as-yet unknown Xindi and avert the destruction of Earth.

Silik's final mission

Silik's final mission takes place in 2154 when he stealthly boards the
Enterprise, which is being diverted to 1944 Earth (by Crewman Daniels)
after its mission to stop the Xindi is successfully completed. After
being taken prisoner by the Enterprise, Silik agrees to aid Captain
Archer in helping stop Vosk -- another faction in the Temporal Cold War
-- from building a "temporal conduit" (time machine). Although the
Archer-Silik duo is successful, Silik is shot and killed by a Nazi guard
at the grounds of the temporal conduit. With his dying words, Silik
commented that he would have preferred to die fighting Archer, but that
the captain was still a worthy opponent.

However, since this timeline was undone due to Captain Archer's
successful destruction of the temporal conduit, Silik could still be
alive (since Daniels was alive even though he died in this timeline).
