        _Screaming_in_Digital______________________________Editor's Note_

Greetings, and Happy New Year to any Celts out there! On
the down side, it's looking like we won't have any Queensryche
for Christmas this year, as they usually announce it in early
November if that's to be the case. On the good side, though, the
next album should be getting pretty near completion, so at least
we can pretty definitely expect it in 1994.

I have been told by a local record company the the "Ford
Fairlane" soundtrack has been taken out of print. Sounds like
those of you needing to get a hold of the song 'Last Time in
Paris' better hurry on out and buy the soundtrack. Or spend just
        as much on imports!

        Other Lists? Toby <tds@sunset.cse.nau.edu>
I remember sometime in the past you saying you had a list
of a bunch of fan mailing lists - it was either you or the
        rush-mgr from NMS, I don't remember which.
{There's a list called the Musical List of Lists
which can be retrieved using FTP or Gopher from
ftp.uwp.edu. I maintain a list of ones which
would be of interest to many Queensryche fans -
other progressive groups - in the Queensryche FAQ
which can be found on the sites listed in the
header of this digest, or in the Usenet newsgroup
                        "alt.rock-n-roll.metal.progressive" monthly.

        Good Stuff Kevin <ryche@delphi.com>
For those of you into music collecting I have some good
information for you! I have talked to a few people I found out
of Goldmine Magazine who are willing to post the latest and
greatest on Queensryche merchandise. Please tell them Kevin
Scurlock sent you. Here are their names and numbers:
Donald King - 1659 Alderbrook Rd, Atlanta GA 30345, (404)
636-4269. Donald King at this moment is selling promo poster for
"Operation: Livecrime" for $5.00 and "Empire" posters for $7.00.
Please add $2.50 for shipping on one poster, or add $.35 if you
        want both.
Tim Shelton - (919) 924-1244. Tim Shelton is a very big
Queensryche collector giving an auction right now. I know for a
fact he has a few 206 EP's still in the shrink-wrap, a "Rage for
Order" misprint, and an "Eyes of a Stranger" 12". Please call
him to get a complete list.

        Queensryche MODs Anthony <st_chavez@stdvax.cc.slcc.edu>
About the Queensryche MODs. If I could get a copy of
that MID file I could convert it quite easily to MOD format. In
fact, anyone can do it. The actual guitar tablature is available
from ftp.nevada.edu, and could also be entered in note by note.
        There's my $0.02. =)
{Guitar tablatures sadly seem to neglect the bass
parts, and it's a challenge to pick out Eddie's
                        playing by ear.  -sh}

        Paul McCartney 7" Kevin <ryche@delphi.com>
Has anyone heard of the Paul McCartney 7" Queensryche
mistake? I happened to pick this up the other day. The disc has
Paul's 'My Brave Face' on side A and supposedly another McCartney
song on Side B. But when you play side B, 'Queen of the Reich'
is heard. Nowhere on the sleeve or disc is Queensryche
mentioned! Wonder how the record company screwed that up,
McCartney and Queensryche sound a lot alike don't they? Not to
mention, McCartney and Queensryche are on two different labels!

        Drum Question <jmosher@linden.msvu.ca>
The chain links are all welded together as far as I
recall. I was backstage talking to the guys, then they were
tearing down the set and I saw this in the background.

        Drum Question Ed <eskin@nak.berkeley.edu>
As Shag pointed out the chains for the cymbals are welded
in place and the cymbal stems are welded to the chain. There is
no cymbal stand inside or anything like that. That brings to
mind another drummer I've seen play, quite a good one I might
add. The band is or was called Stryper. I don't know if they
are still together. He used to get a couple of cymbals swinging
while he was playing. They were about head level and he would
move his head in time to miss the cymbals. He is amazing. Robert
Sweet I think his name is. Or that might be the lead singer's
        name. They are brothers.

        Livecrime CD Wanted Jamey <jcs1174@ritvax.isc.rit.edu>
I'm trying to help out another Queensryche fan who came
into some bad luck. A friend of mine had her car stolen about a
month ago. They swiped her "Operation: Livecrime" CD too. She
got the car back, but it was stripped of everything. Does
someone out there have just the CD they'd like to sell? She has
the video and everything else that came with the box-release last
year, but she needs the CD.

        Bootlegs Available Kevin <ryche@delphi.com>
For those of you still interested, I have a few bootlegs
still available for sale. And those of you who wrote to me a few
weeks ago concerning these, I sent out a generic message letting
you know what I still have. I will sell them at a first-come
first-server basis. If you need a list, check out SiD v109 or
        e-mail me.
